Service Description

Save money by booking a lab and splitting the cost with a group (up to 12). To book, all group members must agree on the date and time for the lab. The designated group leader is responsible for booking the lab and submitting the initial payment. The group leader will need to call and speak with the instructor to determine which lab will be completed and where the lab will take place. Once the lab is confirmed, a payment link will be sent to the group leader to share with the remaining members. All group members must pay the designated fee below before the lab. The cost is based on the number of students which determines the number of lab groups and thus the amount of materials needed. Please note that 2 of the labs will cost an additional $65 based on taking 3 hours instead of 2. Depending on the location, there may also be a fee for travel time and fuel costs. Please call (470-616-0285) or email (jsballedu@gmail.com) to book. Lab Options: Lynx and Hare Populations (Unit 1), Biogeochemical Cycles (Unit 1), Biodiversity Island Biogeography (Unit 2), Survivorship with Bubbles (Unit 3), Power of the Pyramids (Unit 3), Properties of Soil (Unit 4; 2-day lab; would require 2 bookings 1 day apart), Soil Horizons (Unit 4), Salinization and Seeds (Units 4 and 5; 3-day lab; would require 3 bookings each 3 days apart), Tragedy of the Commons (Unit 5), Ecological Footprint and Car Comparison (Units 5 and 6), Coal and Oil Energy Use (Unit 6), Air Pollution (Unit 7; 2-day lab; would require 2 bookings 1 week apart), Water Quality Macroinvertebrate Lab (Unit 8; this is a 3 hour long lab and would have an additional cost of $65), Lethal Dose (Unit 8), Invasive Species (Unit 9), Ocean Acidification (Unit 9), Greenhouse Effect and Solar Oven (Unit 9; this is a 3 hour long lab and would have an additional cost of $65), and EcoColumns Project (a 4 week long lab/project; would require 4 bookings each 1 week apart).
